Why I Created Mastering Progress

This is a subtitle for your new post

For 21 years I have been living in a whirlwind of pain. Some of it self inflicted, some of it due to mental disabilities and some of it laid on me from people in my life. After a while I began to pent up all this pain and it would manifest itself in forms of aggression and deliberate disobedience to anyone in authority and as I grew older I would target the pain towards people I loved and even myself.
Although I was constantly having a battle within myself, I always had the urge to help other people and make others happy. I was always the friend who loved to listen to others' problems and issues and try to give advice. That’s why at the end of my high school career I was feeling a pull towards creating something that could help others and create a support system in which they knew they were not the only ones going through these issues. Half the stories I heard I could relate to on so many levels. But I couldn't figure out how I wanted to approach operationalizing this burning feeling.
Fast forward to Junior year of college when I met my wonderful friend Annie Harriman the founder and CEO of OneBiteGlutenFree. She had just launched her business during our sophomore year and I was so inspired. I got to see first hand how she was turning what some may see as only a setback into something positive and enriching for others globally! Annie was the reason why I said it's time to make my own website.
So for the next few months I planned a lot and collaborated with a bunch of amazing people on interviews and articles and photoshoots. I pulled together journal entries and some creative writing pieces so that I could share my experiences with my audience authentically and straight from the heart! I did have a lot of back and forth with myself on whether or not I could even produce a great website and if I deserved to be creating it.
It has been a long time coming but I am proud to say I did it! Mastering Progress has come to fruition and I have big plans on growing this platform and myself. I hope all of you enjoy this journey as much as I will and that we can all grow together!
As always, keep thriving!
